FOXTAIL
This ornate gold and jewel-set bracelet from the 1950s features a chromatic combination of gemstones typical of the date. We loved the dense chevron pattern. a chain motif often referred to as a “foxtail” due to its similarity to an actual fox’s tail.
Watch hill
This 18 karat yellow gold watch from Cartier forms part of its iconic Maillon Panthère collection. Dating to the 1990s, it was recently sold at auction having been acquired from an estate in Watch Hill, RI.
AREZZO
This statement bracelet was designed for Cartier in the 1960s by UnoAErre, a legacy jeweller based in Arezzo, Italy. An example of pioneering goldsmith production, the original mesh design featured fluid movement that would not pinch the skin.
CATERPILLAR
This Italian 1940s piece shows a classic design from WWII when jewellers throughout Europe were influenced by the war. This emblematic gold bracelet presents grooves alternating with prominent corners, a motif widely regarded to have been inspired by caterpillar tracks on tanks.
BEADED PONT
This gold and sapphire necklace was designed by Mauboussin in Paris c 1940. This iconic piece is 18 carat gold mounted in pink gold with Sapphires throughout. Featuring architectural design elements popular in Paris during this period, this design was inspired by a bridge or “Pont.”
